Construction on the facade of our building began today. We will remain open during our regular hours throughout this construction, but parking may be more challenging to find than usual, as some parking spaces near our entrance will be blocked off.

We are reading The Winemaker’s Wife; a great summer read, it’s a complex story of love, betrayal, and impossible courage set in the champagne growing region of France. Domaine Marcel Deiss Library Combo Pack Alsace Cru Blanc Burg – 2005, 2009, 2011
The Marcel Deiss Alsace Cru Blanc "Burg" is a notable white wine from the Alsace region of France, produced by Domaine Marcel Deiss. The Deiss family has been growing grapes since 1744 and established the Domaine in 1947. This wine comes from the Burg Terroir, specifically from their Bergheim vineyard, and is recognized for being a field blend of multiple Alsatian noble grape varieties. Ancient Keuper marl soils and full southern exposure enable the Domaine to produce consistently highly rated wines year after year. Both the 2005 and 2009 are rated 93, and the 2011 is rated 92.
This particular wine is known for its richness, complexity, excellent balance, structure, and age-worthiness, exhibiting mineral-rich and savory notes with a long, firm finish. It is described as a full-bodied, semi-dry, powerful, and concentrated wine, showcasing ripe fruit aromas alongside delicate spice and mineral notes. Food pairing suggestions include rich seafood, foie gras, sweet and savory cuisine, and blue cheeses.
